PASS IT ON FOR PAPA
When Children's Book Author, Larry Callen passed away it was asked in Lieu of flowers to share acts of kindness and throughout the world people began performing kindness in his honor. The the Pass it On for Papa movement began. This sculpture not only will honor Larry Callen and all he did to inspire imagination and the importance of literacy but it will also to remind us to be kind.

Award winning author, Annette Curtis Klause, explains,
“Larry Callen wasn’t only an accomplished writer of compassionate yet whimsically funny books for children, he was also an insightful and patient writing teacher who nurtured many aspiring authors of children’s books in the Washington D.C. area. A statue of him reading about Pinch, a thoughtful country boy, pursuing small town adventures in the early 20th century, would not only evoke American history and timeless childhood, but represent the handing on of knowledge and heritage to a new generation.”
