Patrons and Sponsors
The patrons of the arts are an essential part of culture. Without the Medici Family’s patronage of the arts, we may have never known of Michelangelo or Leonardo da Vinci. Patrons are heroes who make the work of community engaging art possible.
Today many patrons look different. Sometimes, yes, it is an affluent family or successful business that believes in the importance of art in society and wants to make a difference in the community and sometimes, it is the individual that knows the value of art and wants to be part of something bigger than themselves. Sometimes it is the person who instead of getting expensive coffee, uses that money to make a monthly contribution. Other times it is the volunteer who helps with exhibitions or emotional support. Yes, there are times our dreams seem impossible and the support often brings tears to our eyes because it is a reminder that our work matters.
Each gift is cherished and each makes the work possible. Every gift matters. Every gift makes my work possible. These are a few of the Patrons who have supported the work I do over the years. As the campaign continues, more heroes will be added to the list of donors. Together we can make the world a better place!
*My patrons and sponsors have made my work possible both in community outreach, and the creation of art for the public. It helps to subsidize my using art for healing with cancer patients and in medical facilities, my work with the youth and the community at large and helps make my art exhibitions and sculptures possible.
